Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
Over the years I have found many people who are lacking confidence in their ability to succeed in life, become something different than what they are or to overcome the challenges that face them. With the help of drug use and national fear mongering, this is becoming a crisis of national scope.
A Christian should never allow themselves to be convinced by the devil, demons or people used by them that they cannot be, or do, anything. God, who cannot lie, has said that we should say, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" Philippians 4:13 (KJV), believe it and act on it.
By "a Christian" I mean someone who has become born again by receiving Jesus the Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus, Himself, said that we must be born again:
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 (KJV)
Way too many "Christians" have never really become Christians. They go to church. They may even tithe, teach Sunday School or serve the Church in some way, but they have never really made the connection that only comes by repentance, confession and acceptance.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 (KJV)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
Once you have received the Lord Jesus you will experience the reality, "that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it." Your confidence level will soar and the seemingly impossible will become possible.
