And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:16-18
Whoever you agree with brings its own reward. Agreeing with demonic forces, represented by idols, will bring you loss, death and destruction. Agreeing with God holds great promise.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (KJV)
Our text above tells us that there are seven promises that are ours if we agree with God. They are promises that allow us to have life and life more abundantly. Politically speaking, “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
When we receive Jesus the Christ, the Anointed One of God, as our Savior, we become the recipients of all the blessing that is included in the family of God. We have been adopted into the family!
What are those seven promises? Well, look at this: the Almighty says, (1) I will dwell in them. (2) I will walk in them, (3) I will be their God, (4) You shall be My people, (5) I will receive you, (6) I will be a Father unto you, and (7) You shall be My sons and daughters.
Imagine, God, the Creator of all that there is, living inside of you. No wonder the Bible says, “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 Jn 4:4 KJV).
God, Himself, is present within you at all times, walking in you and affirming you as His own and working out His plans for your good. He has said that, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way” Psalms 37:23 (KJV).
