O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. Psalms 84:12 (KJV)
Do you continually put your trust and confidence in the Lord? Trust, batach, also carries the thought of being secure, because of having confidence in, and, being bold because of feeling safe with, the Lord. If you are able to trust Him and feel secure in His presence then you are truly blessed.
This blessedness, rva ‘esher, brings happiness. This is the result of being blessed. Each of us is happy when we are feeling safe, secure and free from fear of harm. Such is the condition of a true believer.
When we receive Jesus the Christ as our Lord and Savior, repenting of our sin and accepting Gods forgiveness in and through the blood of the cross of Calvary, we come under the protection of all of heavens host.
The LORD, YHWH, The Existing One, God Himself, is the Supreme leader of the hosts of heaven. abu Tsaba’ , means, army, host of an organized army, all who go out to war or to serve at the direction of the Spirit of God. This is a great company of those who serve and war in heaven.
You could only experience this kind of security if your natural father were the ruler of the whole earth and all of the military were loyal, and completely obedient, to him. Especially if he assigned all of those under his command to watch over and protect you.
This is exactly what has taken place in all of creation when you accept God’s invitation to enter into covenant with Him through the sacrificial work of His Son, Jesus the Christ. From that moment the angels of God were commissioned to watch over and protect you. As it is written in Hebrews 1:14 (KJV), “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” and in Psalms 34:7 (KJV), “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”
You are safe and secure in the everlasting covenant of the Lord who has redeemed you out of men. You are His Beloved child and He will, “instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psa. 32:8 KJV).
