The Lord Appeared Again

And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord. 1 Samuel 3:21 (KJV)

Beloved, don’t lose heart. If you haven’t had one of those high times, if you haven’t heard the Voice as you once did, if it has been some time since you had a dream or a vision: Don’t lose heart.

Stay in the Word, stay in the Word, stay in the Word. Be washed by the washing of regeneration that can only come by the Word of the Living God. Your working for the Lord will never accomplish what waiting on Him after having been washed by waters from the well of salvation will.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Titus 3:5 (KJV)

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, Ephesians 5:26 (KJV)

As we are immersed in the flowing water of His Word we will be moved into a position where the Lord will appear again. Rest assured, He will appear again!

I will never forget a time in my life when it seemed as if the heavens had become brass and the Lord had closed up shop for a vacation. I immersed myself in the Word and prayed fervently. I confessed everything I had ever done, thought of doing or even thought I might ever think of doing. It was a miserable time, yet a grand time. I fell in love with the word. It carried me as nothing else ever had. Then, after a year and a half, as though He had only taken a breath between words, “the Lord appeared again” and spoke.

I asked Him, “What happened, Lord? I thought I had somehow offended you.” Gently, but oh so powerfully, He said, “You were leaning too much on experience and feeling so I left you to get anchored in My Word. Now you can walk by faith into the victory that has been provided you in Christ.”
