He was established . . . of The Lord

And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord. 1 Samuel 3:20 (KJV)

As we learn to receive the engrafted Word and rehearse what God speaks to our hearts, to ourselves and those around us, we will find faith becoming a stronger and more powerful guiding force in our lives.

What we speak with our mouth is directly connected to what we believe in our hearts. “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Mat.12:34; Luk. 6:45). We must learn to speak what is in our heart rather than what is in our head and is observed by our senses. The soul must, often times, be convinced of the spiritual truths received and held in the heart. This is done by rehearsing that which God has spoken to us.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (KJV)

What is spoken in our spirit by the Spirit is what we receive by faith until it becomes apparent in the natural. We not only receive the promises of God in word, dream or vision, but require it of God who cannot lie.

The time between word, dream or vision and the realization of that which has been seeded in our hearts must be passed with rejoicing. We will only rejoice in the midst of trial, testing and time passing when we have received that for which we believe by faith.

This is the walk of the prophetic. It is specifically and habitually the walk of those called to be a Prophet. Every Christian is called to be a prophetic voice in their generation. Whether walking in the prophetic life as salt and light or walking the land in the ministry office of a Prophet, you and I are “established to be a prophet of the Lord” to the multitudes who are withering away in the “valley of decision” like dry parched bones without any hope of life. We have come for such a time.
