My Friend, Gary Cass, has been standing for a biblical world view for years. His articles are well thought out and to the point. Some people like him and some don't, but he does care for people. He's been accused of being a "hater" but I submit that he is actually a "lover." He is a lover of people, no matter their label, and cares about their quality of life and their eternal soul.
Can a person really be called homophobic, or a hater, because he warns of the dangers of certain life-styles? I submit that those who "blow the trumpet" and warn of pending disaster are lovers of humanity and the courageous champions of our day.
With this in mind I submit Dr. Cass' latest article for your consideration.
Dear One,
Faith-based organizations that
receive federal grants will soon be mandated to accept homosexual employees and
members. President Barack Obama has added civil rights protection for
"sexual orientation and gender identity" status of all federal contractors.
This includes humanitarian and faith-based organizations that provide important
services throughout America, including organizations who help with adoptions,
run youth centers, child care centers, shelters, etc... Under the new mandates,
these centers would be required to not only hire homosexuals but also make
their housing, locker rooms and restrooms open to anyone who identifies with
each gender, regardless of their biological sex.
This places Christian
organizations at a disadvantage because they cannot both preach the truth about
homosexual behavior and hire people who are openly engaging in and advocating
for this sinful lifestyle. Christian organizations will be required to either
deny the truth of God's Word or deny important funding necessary to reach those
in need.
President Obama desperately needs to reconsider his support of the
homosexual movement. This week the former psychiatrist-in-chief for John
Hopkins Hospital and its current Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry,
Dr. Paul R. McHugh, wrote a commentary for Wall Street Journal calling
transgenderism a "mental disorder" that merits treatment not
celebration. Dr. McHugh points out that transgendered people who have
reassignment surgery are 20 times more likely to commit suicide than
non-transgendered people. Also, studies from Vanderbilt University and London's
Portman Clinic showed that 70 - 80% of children who expressed transgender
feelings spontaneously lost those feelings over time.
It wasn't so long ago that
homosexuality was considered a mental disorder, but now it is celebrated as
normal. The professional psychiatric associations were co-opted by the
sodomites politically decades ago, but the science remains the same. The social
pathologies and rate of diseases associated with the homosexual lifestyle are
off the charts, but if you point it out you are a bigot and hater. Now grandpa
can become grandma and no one can say anything negative. Is it loving to
encourage "life styles" with suicide rates 20 times higher?
TAKE ACTION:
Contact the Obama Administration and
urge that they stop supporting the destructive homosexuality movement and
uphold Christian liberties.
