Unforgiveness
and Pride
Unforgiveness is a cancer of the soul. It eats away at the heart of man and then causes the body to destroy itself. More importantly, it makes it impossible for God to forgive the one holding unforgiveness. It separates, divides, and destroys. When yielded to it becomes a tool of the devil to steal, kill and destroy.

Mark 11:26 (KJV) But if ye do not forgive, neither will
your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Pride is poison to the soul and clouds discerning and
judgment. It numbs the senses and brings destruction to every meaningful
relationship. Pride blinds one to everything beautiful in others and causes
separation from heavenly things. Deception begins to set up demonic strongholds
in the mind and emotions when pride finds a foothold in a beleiver's life.
Pride will cause the one who should (could) be above (the head) to wind up low,
beneath (the tail).
Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) Pride goeth before destruction, and
an haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 29:23 (KJV) A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
Don't carry unforgiveness. Forgive even the one who
refuses to see their own fault. You must release them into the hands of the
only Righteous Judge. You don't have to allow them to abuse you any longer nor
do you have to agree what has been done is right. You just recognize that only
God can handle it properly.
Be quick to forgive and restore those who will accept
rebuke, repent, and become teachable.
Luke 17:3-4 (KJV) Take heed to yourselves: If thy
brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And
if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn
again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Let go of pride and esteem others more highly than you do yourself. Do all you can to help them succeed.
Philippians 2:3 (KJV) Let nothing be done through strife
or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than
themselves.
