The Kingdom of God

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20 (KJV)

Allow me to brag on Jesus and the power of His resurrection for a moment. From the instant that Jesus translated me out of darkness into His marvelous light I have experienced the Word of God as living, powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword.

This walk with Jesus is not just in word, λογος logos; not just something written or spoken of, not just a doctrine or saying, but in power, δυναμις dunamis, inherent power, power residing in Christ by virtue of His nature, and which His resurrection exerts and puts forth.

If Christ is in me, and He is in every believer, then there should be a demonstration of resurrection power flowing through each of us.

Can we measure the power that it took to raise Jesus from the dead? Can we measure the power that makes all things new about us and to transform us into a new creature at salvation? I think not. Neither can we measure the power that will open blind eyes, cause the lame to leap and dance, or cleanse the leper.

What we can see and experience, however, is the effect of that power as we minister the Word of God by the Spirit of God.

I have personally been used of God to raise the dead and have been used to create eyes in a blind man who had no retina nor iris present before the power of God was released. I have experienced being used to deliver people from demons and various infirmities.

I boast on the unlimited power of my resurrected Savior and claim nothing in and of myself. Jesus still saves, heals and delivers!

Consider the treasure that is within you and begin to allow the Lord to use you to carry the message of salvation and release the power of the Anointed One who is ever present within you.
