This Christmas Season . . .
Let's, you and I, renew our covenant with God to be what we are called to be. Let's renew our commitment to His will even if it interrupts our lifestyle. Let's give God permission to step into our plans and change them, radically if need be.
We have been given the greatest Christmas gift ever given. God gave His only begotten Son to all who would receive Him.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)
What more will we demand that He give when He has already given us His very best?
This Christmas season, let's not ask for more, but let's ask what we can give. Let's find out what it is that will please the Lord.
Once we hear His request, let's be quick to answer, "be it unto me according to thy word." For He will ask us to go where we have never gone, to be what we have never been, and do what we have never done.
He will not ask us to give what we have not been given, nor will He demand what we are unwilling to yield.
This Christmas season, let's give Him what He desires. Let's give Him our undivided attention, our unfeigned obedience, our unabashed loyalty, and our unbridled love.
After all, He gave us His best so that we could have the blessing of His presence. Surely, we can give Him our best so that He can enjoy our fellowship this Christmas Season.
