"Walking Together"

Nothing captivates my mind quite like the thought of the Almighty God and Creator coming to walk with Adam each morning (or evening) day by day.

This is an especially intriguing thought because we have a better covenant and a more personal relationship with God, as our Father, than Adam did his Creator. In Christ Jesus we are closer to Him than "the first Adam" was.

This should equate to a closer walk each and every day. The Voice of Genesis should walk with us, not just in the cool of the day, but every second of every minute, of every hour, of every day, of every week, of every month, of every year, throughout eternity. A staggering thought, yet true as true can be.

We were created for voluntary, ongoing, relational worship with the Father. Worship, as I'm sure you know, is not a set time in a church service, nor is it a special time set aside in a believers day. True worship is a life lived along side our God and Savior. Worship is a lifestyle, a total involvement in the life of another Who is totally other.

Just as we were born to be born-again and walk in close relationship with our heavenly Father, we are meant to walk in close fellowship with our fellow believers. This is especially true for those that are yoke-fellows with the Holy Ghost in the Lord's fields of harvest.

Ministers need each other. "Iron sharpens iron." The Scripture teaches us that two are better than one and that we were never meant to be loners. Oh, we answer to God, for we are His servants, but we are members of His Body and, therefore, inseparably united.

We are called to walk together until we become of one mind, heart and spirit. God was knitting Adam's heart to His own as they walked together daily. He wanted someone He could impart His vision to. So it is today.

As we come to know Him, together, we will fulfill the Scriptural call found in Ephesians 4:

His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church), [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.
