The Light of Life ...

Only the light of life within can give us joy and peace when we are going through any wilderness experience.

Look at another example:

Acts 20:22-23 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

Here we see Paul knowing that he was being led into a very uncomfortable situation. He is willing, but those who know and love him have a different view of what he should do. Who is right? Should he heed their warnings or should he follow the light of life within? What would you do if several prophets told you that where you were going was going to cause you to be bound and afflicted? Is this good or evil?

He was warned by those with revelation; those with a valid word of Wisdom. Look at one of the warnings:

Acts 21:10-12 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.

The reaction of those who loved him was that he should not go. But he heard another voice. He had life within and that life told him something other than what the soulish knowledge of good and evil said. He said, I know nothing:

1 Cor. 4:3-4 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

Beloved, you and I must learn to walk by faith and not by sight. We must learn to walk in the high places of the Spirit. Obedience to the voice of the Life within is our only duty.
