Gate of Heaven . . .

Jesus came to earth, so that man could go to heaven. Jesus became man, so that man could become like Him.

Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man" (John 1:51).

Jesus was the "House of God," and, therefore, the "Gate of Heaven." This can be seen at His baptism and at the Mount of Transfiguration:

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Mat. 3:16-17)

And [He] was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him (Mat. 17:2-3)

Now, you and I are "The House of God" and, therefore, the "Gate of Heaven."

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (Cor. 3:16; 2 Cor. 6:16)

We have been given the awesome responsibility to bring heaven to earth (Mat.6:10; Luke 11:2) and live out the prophetic promise of the Lord in this generation:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12).

This will bring to pass the words of Haggai: The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts. . . (Haggai 2:9)
