Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 1 Corinthians 13:5 (KJV)
What, exactly, does it mean, “thinketh no evil?” (logizomai) is the Greek word used for “thinketh”. It is used in banking and deals with reality. If I "logizomai" or reckon that my bank book has $25 in it, it has $25 in it. Otherwise I am deceiving myself. This word refers to facts not suppositions. It means to count up or weigh the reasons, to deliberate by reckoning up all the reasons, to gather, consider or infer and to meditate on.
Evil (kakos) includes that which is of a bad nature and that which is not such as it ought to be. It speaks of a mode of thinking, feeling and acting in a base, wrong, wicked, troublesome, injurious, pernicious, destructive and baneful way.
Love demands that we cast down every thought that does not line up with the Word of God and set our minds upon those things that are true and of a high nature.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
The individual filled with the love of God has no room in their thinking for anything less than the reality that has been wrought for every true believer by Christ Jesus. It is written of such a believer, “... Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44 (KJV)
The first thought of Love is to forgive and bless.
