He Is Able

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25 (KJV)

Dunamai is the Greek word used here for “he is able.”

This means that Jesus has power by virtue of His own ability and resources. We see that He is in a state of mind by permission of the law and character of Almighty God to do something for those that come to God by Him. He is not only of a mind to save us but He is capable, strong and powerfully able to do so.

This salvation (sozo) rescues the perishing from danger, makes whole and sound, heals from disease of all kinds and restores to health while preserving that one until they safely arrive at their intended destination. In the arms of such a salvation one finds themselves perfected and/or completed (panteles) by means of its effectiveness.

When we come to (theos) the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit by (dia), by means of, through, or perhaps better rendered, by reason of, or on account of, Jesus the Christ, we enter into a salvation that is eternal and cannot be denied.

This is because He ever (pantote) lives (zao). He is eternally living, breathing, active, blessed and endless in the kingdom of God. In that position He is strong and efficient, powerful and efficacious (effective and competent) in a work particular to keeping those who come to God by Him.

He “ever liveth” to make intercession (entugchano). By His spirit He lights upon the saved, meeting them with the purpose of conversing with them and giving them counsel that will help them along the way. His eternal ministry to them is to pray for them.

You see, Beloved, Jesus is praying for you at this moment. He is available to speak with you and guide you every inch of the way with divine competence and effectiveness.
