THIS IS HE WHO IS THE RESURRECTION.

Take Hold of The Covenant

Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Isaiah 56:6 (KJV)

The glorious truth of the Gospel that Isaiah saw in a figure is that “the sons of the stranger” are called into covenant relationship with the Lord. What was once open only to the physical sons of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has become available to whosoever will “love the name of the Lord, to be his servants.”

The servants, `ebed, bond slaves, who choose to love, 'ahab, to be a friend who loves the name, Shem, Jesus, His reputation, fame and glory, and is willing to serve, sharath, minister to, Him by honoring Him on the sabbath. What was important to God was not so much the day but that each day wherein there is covenant atonement, should not be polluted, chalal.

A day is considered to be polluted when profane things are done in it. When a man or woman prostitutes themselves to any manner of carnal pursuit, when “the Lord’s Day” is seen as “just any other day,” when the day is used for “common things,” the day is seen by God as “polluted” and “profane.” A polluted day is a day wherein God is dishonored by one honoring other things rather than, or more than, Him.

This word, polluted, chalal, also carries the idea of “piercing,” “wounding” and “killing.” Could we then say that when an individual uses “the Lord’s Day” improperly that he would “crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh?”

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Hebrews 6:4-6 (KJV)

Keep His day Holy. Go to church, honor and worship God on “the Day of the Lord.” Take hold of the covenant.
