Duck Hunting and Heroism

Evidently "Duck" hunting is so popular today that the LGBT community and A&E have decided to "shoot" one. Isn't there a "Duck" hunting permit required to shoot the lead Duck? How will the other Ducks know how to get where they are going? After all, this is a Christian Duck. He is leading the "flock" to heaven in the only way that the Bible says they can go. It just doesn't seem right to shoot a lead Duck who knows Jesus.
Duck Dynasty - Phil Robertson

Robertson is asked what he believes and is "shot down" from his film maker employer for telling the truth? I thought the liberal left were against "guns," and "shooting," and "intolerance," and stuff like that? "Fire power" should never be used to punish truth that "offends" anti-Christian activists. True, today, are the words of Isaiah the prophet.
"And judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter" (Isaiah 59:14).  Shows how little I understand about where our society is today.

This man's right to believe what he wants is in question here. If he can't, and is profiled and punished for his faith, America is in big trouble. If a man can demand that he be accepted as, seen as, and treated as, a woman but a Christian can't be accepted as, seen as, and treated as a Christian, there is something a bit out of kilter. If everyone, and everything, can be "tolerated" except a Christian, I have to wonder what "tolerant" really means.

As for me, Phil Robertson is a hero and a role model that should be on television. He has basically said what any real Christian would say. Christians love the sinner (yes the Bible does use that term about many human behaviors), but hate the sin. Christians respect people, and life, more than any other group on earth, except, perhaps, those who follow the Jewish faith.

Open season on "Ducks" is open season on Christians. Perhaps it's time to stand up along side men like Phil Robertson and demand that he (and we) are treated fairly in this "tolerant" society.

Just sayin'
