Simple Truth

What is so problematic about accepting the truth? Perhaps it is because we have heard so many lies for so long that we can't tell the difference. The term argumentum ad nauseum means to repeat something so often as a talking point that people begin to believe it just because they've heard it repeated so often. The argument is then regurgitated without question as though it is fact.
