Summer Time
School is out and now, the family can go
and play
If we miss church a bit, we're sure that
will be OK
After all, God knows that, we need some
time away
We'll stop in later to worship, join the
Saints, and pray
The Lord is well aware, that we love Him
in every way
Even when we're out and about on this His
Sabbath day
When we return, and settle in, done with
our summer play
Then we will think of church and tithing,
without any more delay
Excited to get together with friends,
both clergy and lay
We head for church on Sunday, and find to
our dismay
The church doors are closed, and the
pastor has passed away
He died of a broken heart, you see, and
the bills he could not pay
