As I consider you in these critical times of decision I am reassured by my Father and your Father that He is at work to establish and prosper you in ways that you have not experienced before. I heard Him say of you:
"I have caused thee to be planted by the River of life, and your leaves shall not fail, nor shall they wither in the day of dryness. They shall be as leaves of healing for the nations. And under their shadow the multitudes shall come to sit, to be protected, to be shielded from the scorching heat of the hour. Your fruit shall be for nourishment, good to eat; bringing strength and life, encouragement and joy. For you are the planting of the Lord and I have caused you to come and send your roots deep into My provision.
When the stormy winds blow, you will not be uprooted. When the land is parched with dryness, yet you shall be supple and moist. For My River will satisfy you, though on the surface it is not as yet seen, it runs in the depths of the Rock in abundance. Hear it's rushing, it is the sound of many waters, the Voice of the Lord your God saying, I AM near.
Settle in, rest and abide while I draw your roots ever deeper into the Rock.
I have caused you to come, I have planted you for this season, I have caused you to drink, and I have caused you to live.
Wait on the Lord in these times of decision; for it is written that:
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength ; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. [Isa 40:22]
Who's strength will be renewed? The one who waits.
What does this word "wait" mean? It's strongest meaning is, "To be bound together with."
Yes, the call is to be bound together with God.
1 Samuel 25:29 (KJV) Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to
seek thy soul: . . . shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy
God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the
middle of a sling.
"Wait" upon God. Surely, to be bound together with God
will bring His immeasurable strength to bear in every circumstance and
situation.
His strength becomes your strength to the degree that you are
united with Him.
Take time out of your busy schedule to "Wait" [be bound together] with God; to become one with Him and flourish!
