Seeds of Love
Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV) Be
not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he
also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
The Word of God teaches
us that whatever we sow, we will reap. This principle of the Word of God
applies to every area of our lives; not just in our financial area.
Love is the seed that
the Spirit of God wants us to sow. Love is always willing to die to itself. The
seed that the devil wants us to sow is lust, which is self centered. Self puts
ego and agenda first. I've heard it said that, Love gives at its own expense
for the benefit of others. Lust takes at another's expense to satisfy self.
All of us go through struggles that are too heavy to bear alone. If we are to bear another's burden, we will have to lay aside our own agenda. This is the heartbeat of God.
The seed of love is simply this:
All of us go through struggles that are too heavy to bear alone. If we are to bear another's burden, we will have to lay aside our own agenda. This is the heartbeat of God.
The seed of love is simply this:
"Find a need and
fill it, find a tear and wipe it; find a wound and heal it, find a yoke and
break it, find a burden and carry it, find a shame and cover it."
Perhaps it is time to
ask God for crop failure on those times in our lives where we have sown to the
flesh.
One thing is sure: the
seeds we sow will bring a harvest. Let's take a moment today to recommit
ourselves to be sowers of the seeds of love.
After all, "God so loved that He" sowed the Seed that forever changed our lives.
After all, "God so loved that He" sowed the Seed that forever changed our lives.
