In Judah God Is Known
To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song of Asaph. In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel. Psalm 76:1
Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Rev. 5:5). Judah, Y@huwdah, literally means "praised." This tribe descended from Judah the son of Jacob. The kingdom of Judah was comprised of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin which occupied the southern part of Canaan after the nation split upon the death of Solomon.
It would be reasonable and acceptable to say, "God, 'elohiym (Father, Son and Holy Ghost), the true God is known. The Hebrew word, yada` , is a word that speaks of intimate knowledge. By it we understand that in praise, the One True God can be accurately perceived and seen, found out and discerned. The believing seeker who praises God can expect to know Him by experience and to be instructed by and acquainted with Him to the degree that God will make Himself known by revelatory declaration: ". . . the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (Joh. 6:63 KJV).
In the following verse we come to understand that if we take praise to the next level of a, t@hillah, praise song, that expresses our praise, adoration, and thanksgiving (paid to God), His very Presence will come and settle down within us and He will be as One married to, and living with, us.
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Psalm 22:3 (KJV)
This is one of the most wonderful, comforting and strengthening truths revealed to those who express their love for Him and to Him according to the teachings of the Word of God.
His desire is for you and I to love Him as completely as He loves us and to express that love through praise.
