Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Psalms 122:6 (KJV)
I am a born-again Gentile. As far as I know, I have no Jewish blood in me. Even if I did, I would still be Christian first and foremost. That being said, I am a solidly pro-Israel Zionist.
Oh, I know, this is not an especially popular position. Anti-Semitism is rampant in the world today. The City of God is divided and in constant turmoil. If Islam could have its way there would be no Israel and no Jews on the earth. Oh, did I mention that there would not be any Christians either?
Biblically, I only see three people groups that God recognizes. According to 1 Corinthians 10, He recognizes Jews, Gentiles and the Church. Scripture also teaches us that He has a covenant with the Jews (Israel), a covenant with the Church and that He will deal with the Gentiles (Nations).
1 Corinthians 10:32 (KJV) Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
Beloved, don't get duped into thinking that all the problems of the world are because of the Jews. Don't buy into the lie that the Holocaust never happened. Don't let the devil deceive you into believing that God doesn't care what happens to Israel and the remnant of His "chosen people."
I'm totally against Christians being Judaized (taken back into bondage to the law - We are saved by grace . . .). But I am totally for Israel and the Jewish people. God must be too or He would not promise to prosper all that love Jerusalem the rightful Capital of Israel.
Let's not forget that Israel is one of our staunchest allies and of great benefit to our nation.
Take some time to pray for Israel today. God will be pleased.
