And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. Hosea 12:13 (KJV)

You may ask, "Are there really prophets in the land today?" Oh yes, Beloved, there are men and women who hear the voice of the Lord and speak truly. Men and women of high moral excellence and character; people of integrity.

The problem is that they are in the minority and seldom recognized because of the promotional hype of false prophets of perverse character and connection.

But, let us not "throw out the baby with the bath." We must never disavow the things of God because there is a counterfeiter moving about. Phoney money only can be passed off as the real because there is the real.

The devil would love for you and I to begin to distrust the prophets of God because by means of a prophet people are liberated and kept safe. Just as the counterfeit leads into darkness and danger far from Christ, the true prophet of God contends for the flock and leads them beside green pastures and still waters. With the rod of his mouth, the words of the Living God flow forth with direction, guidance, warning, protection and creative power.

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. 2 Chronicles 20:20 (KJV)

The prophet holds your health and wealth in his mouth! He will speak God words of provision, protection, prosperity, and promotion into your life.

You might ask, "Who is my prophet?" Start by listening to your Pastor. That's a good place to begin. He'll speak words of life into you every Sunday.
