Cover Me In The Day of War
O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou ha covered my head in the day of battle. Psalms 140:7 (KJV)
There is a covering that overshadows us when we are in the midst of battle. Some call this covering, "the anointing." Whatever you may call it, it is the, guiding and power of the Holy Ghost when the battle rages in our lives.
Whether on the field of battle, the business marketplace or the attacks of the enemy on you and your ministry, the covering will guide, keep and protect you. You will not be consumed! You will not fail! You will not lose!
There is a a holy unction that teaches you as you go.
Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: Psalms 144:1 (KJV).
There is also the promise that no matter what weapon is fashioned and used against you will harm you.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
You see, Beloved, the Lord God Almighty is a Man of War and He is on your side (Exo. 13:3). Just as David, the champion of God who slew Goliath, took men who were in distress, in debt and discontented, He took you and I, right where we were, and has made us to be more than conquerors (Rom. 8:37; 1 Sam. 22:2 KJV).
His very Presence, which is Love, overshadows us with unfailing ability and might that makes it impossible for us to fail (1 Joh. 4:16; 1 Co. 13:8).
His covering, His anointing, overshadows us and hides us in His secret place when we call out to Him in our time of trouble.
Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. Psalms 81:7 (KJV)
