The Word Considered . . .

As we consider what was spoken, I believe that we will be touched, once again, with His great love and fatherly instruction:

Do we slow down enough to "taste and see?" There is a place in Him, as we spend time in the secret place, where His sweet, all encompassing love overshadows us and we partake of the "apples of gold," the Word's that issue from the Voice of the Master Gardener. His words bring enablement and empowerment (Joh. 6:63).

When situation or circumstance draws our attention away from Jesus and the great love of God our Father, then we lose the strength of the intent of our call. Understanding His love is not complete without a revelation of His love. That revelation brings the unlimited resource of unfailing love to bear on all that we set our hand to. As we walk in the faith that works by love, we realize that we cannot fail (1 Cor. 13:8).

There is no fulfillment outside of Him. He designed us before we were born and placed the divine seed of the desire of our destiny within (Psa.139:13-16; Jer.1:5). The "apples of gold" call to the divine seed and bring it forth. Deep calls to deep and, with the force of love, a force stronger that the moving of the sea, we begin to press for that which we know is out of our reach (Psa. 42:7). But, the call of God is not limited by our abilities, resources, or reserve (Luk. 18:27; Phil. 4:13). He is able to complete that which is entrusted to Him.

Overwhelmed by what is going on around us, we make the mistake of looking at what has happened to others, or what our feelings tell us, and begin to construct an experiential manner of thinking that is contrary to the knowledge of God (Joh. 21:22-23).

In an attempt to justify God, as though He needs us to protect His honor, we reason ourselves out of the pure truth of His Word (Joh. 17:17).

We have an internal clock that we set by our wishes and expectations. The tendency to judge God as slow to keep His promise is rampant in the human mind. What our Father has promised, He will do. Every time. Right on time. We are to rest in the promise and walk in the security of His abiding presence. The clock, nor it's settings, are ours, they are His. The work is not ours, it is His. (2 Pet. 3:9; 1 Cor. 4:5)

None of us considers ourselves to be a scorner or judge. After all, we believe God. But, if we are not careful, we can move into a mind set that is judgmental. Our struggle in faith for personal healing is one area where we can lose sight of the promise due to the press of the senses. The lack of visible finances is another weak spot. (Mar. 11:22)

Our Father said, ". . . no good thing will [I] withhold from them that walk uprightly" (Psa. 84:11). We need only to be about the Father's business and He will provide all that is needed to accomplish our assigned task. Liberating power will be released, comforting words will come, the glory will manifest and the resource will arrive on time.

The Word of the Living God is filled with the historical record of God's unlimited provision for those who love, and serve, Him. He does not play favorites, nor does He limit one and not another. Each of us according to our calling will be supplied with everything necessary to complete the work He has appointed us to do. Have faith, press in, love God, and love one another. You will know as you have been known.
