Effectual Prayer?

Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

You are righteous by faith; therefore you qualify to pray prayers that are effective. You obtained faith -

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 12:3 ... God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

- You did not attain faith. Faith is not what you do, it is what God gives, and develops in you. Faith is not attained - Faith is obtained.

All flesh stinks to God. Good works or bad works; they all stink.

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; ... Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, ...

It is not what we have done. It is Whose we are.

To realize our full potential in prayer we should first pray: Father. Help me to be as holy in my eyes as I am in Yours. Beloved, we need to get rid of the guilt, shame and insecurity that came with our old nature and still clings to us. We need to put it off!

Ephes. 4:22; Col. 3:8-9 ...put off ... the old man,... put off the old man with his deeds;

Let us now pray boldly, passionately and effectively.

Hebrews 10:19, 22 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, ... Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,...

If we can pray (and we can) - We must!
