Wait Upon the Lord

They That Wait Upon The Lord -

- shall renew their strength ; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. [Isa 40:22]

Who's strength will be renewed? The one who waits.

What does this word "wait" mean? It's strongest meaning is, "To be bound together with."

Be Bound Together With God -

1 Samuel 25:29 (KJV) Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling.

"Wait" upon God. Surely, to be bound together with God will bring His immeasurable strength to bear in every circumstance and situation.

His strength becomes our strength to the degree that we are united with Him.

We must take time out of our busy schedules to "Wait" [be bound together] with God; to become one with Him!
