Prepare Your Heart ...

Prepare your heart for visitation. Jesus is coming to His Church.

How can we prepare our hearts? Like David we need to go to God; yielded and teachable, willing to be corrected:

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

Beloved, it is imperative that we learn to become open and pliable in the hand of the Master Potter. It is He who made us and it is He who has the sole right to order our steps and make us to be what He has purposed in His heart:

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. Isaiah 64:8

You and I are not our own. We have no right to dictate to God what we will be or what we will do for Him:

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Cor. 6:20

Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. 1 Cor. 7:23

Why would we want to? He who loves us, gave His life for us, shed His blood for us, wants only the best for us, has given us the freedom to yield to, and obey, Him.
