Faith and Fear are like two ships laden with cargo on the sea of the heart. Their port of arrival is the harbor of your mind.
They both can come into your harbor -but-
You don't have to let Fear drop anchor and you don't have to let Fear unload her cargo.
Choose which cargo you will allow to fill the warehouse of your mind. The choice is up to you. You are the harbor master of your soul. You can choose to worry, despair, feel rejected, carry bitterness, harbor unforgiveness or be depressed or you can choose to believe and receive what God says in His word is true about you.
Joshua 24:15 (KJV) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Faith comes by hearing , and hearing by the word of God. [Romans 10:17] Fear also comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of the faithless. Sometimes the faithless can be your Christian friends. We must hear the word of God, not the words of the faithless. We need the wind of the Spirit to fill the sails of the ship of Faith. [Romans 14:1; 1 Corinthians 2:5]
Our Christian walk is one of Faith, NOT Fear of what we see nor the fear of what others say. The bulwark of Fear will draw calamity to you like a magnet draws metal shavings . Conversely, The bulwark of Faith will protect you and win every skirmish with the devil [Job 3:25; Numbers 14:2 Ephesians 6:16][2 Corinthians 5:7]
When Fear drops anchor, Faith will leave the harbor. When Faith drops anchor, Fear sinks out of sight [Hebrews 4:2].
