The United States of America derives its structural integrity by means of a people who believe in God and live by a set of moral standards as set forth in the Holy Scripture.
Whether one is Jewish and living by the Torah or the Christian (I use that term loosely to include the many variations existant today) living by the teachings of the Bible, there is a common standard for jurisprudence and societal interaction.
This commonality is clearly seen in the framwork of our Constitution. It is a magnificent document that flows from the hearts of men who wish to live free and stand for what is right. Its weakness is that it was written to set forth a form of goverment for a moral and upright people and will not serve any other.
It is evident that by Divine wisdom and foreknowledge, it was designed to collapse in the hands of the godless and corrupt so that they would lose the blessed promises given only to the righteous.
It is entirely possible that this great nation is not mentioned in the end time events mentioned in the Bible because she, like the Seven Churches of Revelation, does not, and will not heed instruction. I pray that this is not the case.
The only hope for the continuation of this "One Nation Under God" is for its multitudes, and especially those who are elected to lead them, to honor God and serve humanity in the love of God according to the dictates of the Divine concience.
"Blessed is the people whose God is the LORD." May this be said of our precious land.
