Seaking Wealth - Speaking Peace

For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed. Esther 10:3 (KJV)

Each and every Christian should realize that God wants to elevate them to places of governmental influence. Oh, I know, you don’t “feel” called to politics. Well, be that as it may; you are still called to governmental influence.

John Maxwell has said, “Leadership is Influence, nothing more and nothing less.” I couldn’t agree more. Governmental influence is simply being willing to become a servant of people so that you can influence them.

This can take place in the home, the office, on the golf course, at the club, in church, through community volunteer service and/or in the political arena. What is important is that we be willing to let God place us where we can influence people for Christ. Christians are called to be salt and light in the midst of their respective societies.

This is so that the plan and purpose of God can be fulfilled and the harvest of souls can be brought in to the Father’s embrace. This is what Jesus came, lived, shed His blood, was crucified, died, buried and raised from the dead for (Joh. 3:16).

Our goal should be that people have the leadership necessary to bring them righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

When the [uncompromisingly] righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; . . . Proverbs 29:2 (Amp)

Instead of seeking gain, authority or prestige for our own sake, we should be seeking to become all that our Lord Jesus died to provide in order to bring blessing to others.

We are to be a people who are “seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed..” We have the words of life and understand the true prosperity that comes from the Prince of Peace Himself. We have the mind of Christ and the Word of life:
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing . . . Colossians 3:16 (KJV)

Let the rest of this year and the next be a year of blessing others for His sake.
